YARNS

In this page I have used two types of spun by embroidery: the cotton Muliné to a thread and six threads. The cotton from embroidery to six threads is a particularly versatile and very common yarn. As points out his/her name, you/he/she can be separated in six separate threads to use together one of it or two or three, on cloths to regular plot. On fabrics to bigger plot instead you/he/she can be necessary to use a great number of cotton threads to perfectly cover the warp. This yarn type is soft and shining and is very easy-to-use.

The embroidery cotton to a thread is a soft native opaque yarn of Denmark where you/he/she is also called "thread for floral embroideries", since its native range of colors is broadly inspired to the magnificent floral sketches of the Dane Cerda Bengtsson and to the characteristic colors of the embroidery in Denmark. Currently these yarns are available near the suppliers of embroidery articles in an ample range of tonality, similar to that available for the cotton to six threads.

As to combine yarns and fabrics

The Aida is an in squares cloth to regular plot. l spins some warp they are cross so that to create quadretti full with holes well separate to the angles, that facilitate a lot the calculation. The cloth Aida is available in various quadrettature, according to the number of holes in 2,5 cms.
For the book of the guests I have used a cloth Aida colar whipped cream 72 quadrettis, a fabric to regular plot rather end. I have chosen cotton Muliné to a thread, but if you prefer that to six threads, I would recommend you to use two threads at a time, because three threads hardly enter the holes, with a thick final effect too much, while a solo thread leaves
to shine through the fund of the cloth.
Also the Jobelan is a cloth to regular plot, but otherwise from the Aida, the threads are more rents. 11 account of the threads therefore it asks for the maximum attention and it results very facilitated by the use of a lens of enlargement. 11 Jobelan is a very soft mixed (51% cotton and 49% modal) fabric, proper not only to the embroideries to frame and to the tiracampana, but for many other jobs for the house as tablecloths and napkins, services to the American and copricuscini. It is available in around 50 different colors. For the tiracampana I have chosen a cloth Jobelan with 28 threads in 2,5 cms. Since this plotted is generally embroidered on two threads, 28 threads in 2,5 cms damage the equivalent of the embroidery on a cloth Aida 55 quadrettis, although this fabric has a consistence more elegant.
For the tiracampana I have used three threads of Muliné to six threads because the cotton from embroidery to a thread was too much thin for the final effect that I sought, while three threads of Muliné create a more consistent finish, particularly proper for the job in matter. For of the most delicate embroideries on the tovagliato sometimes use only two threads of Muliné on the Jobelan, as you will see in the next projects of the book. Two threads result particularly proper in the case in which is wanted to maintain the softness of the fabric.
Rules don't exist pre-arranged on how much threads of embroidery cotton to use. l three illustrated jobs in this page and in that following introduce very various effects, gotten with cotton by embroidery to a thread or to more threads, on three different types of cloth.
On the cloth Aida 55 quadrettis, aloft the line has been performed with three cotton threads Muliné to six threads to get a compact effect, that entirely covers the fabric. Every point cross melts him with that following, making to jump the color of the thread. Gently stretching the job on the reverse, the embroidery it sticks out straight from the surface on the, assuming an almost three-dimensional aspect.
The central line is performed with two cotton threads Muliné to six threads to get a lighter and less compact effect, in which every point cross distinguishes him from that following. The fabric is glimpse when he works with a dark thread on a cloth clear Aida or when contrarily he works with a clear thread on a dark cloth. Using two cotton threads on a cloth Aida 55 quadrettis, the color of the fabric leading it is dissolved, and it is important to hold to mind this effect when a project prepares him and they is chosen the colors.

The line in low of the cloth Aida 55 quadrettis are performed with a cotton by embroidery to a thread (Nordin) that is as big as two threads of Muliné to six threads and that it gives a similar effect, even if with this yarn it is easier to get an embroidery from the plain finish and to regulate, avoiding besides the problem of the threads that you/they weave him. In the job on cloth Aida 72 quadrettis, aloft the line is performed with two cotton threads Muliné to six threads. You gets so a very regular and compact effect entirely covering the beautiful fabric leading. Two threads also serve to make to jump better the color of the cotton on the fabric.
For the central line I have used a cotton thread from embroidery to six threads to get a more aerial and less compact effect. Every point cross clearly distinguishes him, but when dark tones are embroidered on a clear cloth or vice versa, the color of the fabric leading shines through. Another thing not to be forgotten is that the intensity of the color of the yarn is inferior in comparison to that that can be gotten using two threads of Muliné on the same cloth.
The line in low of the cloth Aida 72 quadrettis are performed with cotton by embroidery to a thread. A thread covers very better this fabric with the cloth to 55 quadrettis and the point, more delicate, it contributes to make to jump the color of the yarn.
In the fabric Jobelan with 28 threads on 2,5 cms, aloft the line is performed with three threads of Muliné to six threads, worked on two threads of cloth. You gets so an effect similar to that of the cloth Aida 55 quadrettis, although the fabric leading is thinner and less rigid. For a more solid effect as that in demand for the tiracampana, the ideal is three threads, but for a result more delicate (for the table linen for instance) two threads make better.
The central line is performed with two cotton threads Muliné to six threads, worked on two threads of the Jobelan. The effect gotten particularly well him proper to this soft fabric. The only disadvantage is that the colors can slightly result altered, thing of which it needs to keep in mind when the tones are chosen for the project.
II cotton from embroidery to a thread, used in the line in low of the cloth Jobelan, is similar for consistence to two threads of the cotton from embroidery to six threads. It produces a light effect and to regulate, and it is ideal for the most delicate embroideries.
My examples illustrate only some of the effects that can be gotten combining yarns and fabrics. Before creating your embroideries therefore, I suggest you to make a po'di practice, using spun different and a different number of threads on fabrics of various kind. In this way you will succeed without any doubt in perfectly realizing the projects that you have in mind.
