In this page I have used two types of spun by embroidery: the cotton Muliné to a thread and six threads. The cotton from embroidery to six threads is a particularly versatile and very common yarn. On fabrics to bigger plot instead you/he/she can be necessary to use a great number of cotton threads to perfectly cover the warp. This yarn type is soft and shining and is very easy-to-use.

The embroidery cotton to a thread is a soft native opaque yarn of Denmark where you/he/she is also called "thread for floral embroideries", since its native range of colors is broadly inspired to the magnificent floral sketches of the Dane Cerda Bengtsson and to the characteristic colors of the embroidery in Denmark. Currently these yarns are available near the suppliers of embroidery articles in an ample range of tonality, similar to that available for the cotton to six threads.

As to combine yarns and fabrics

The Aida is an in squares cloth to regular plot. l spins some warp they are cross so that to create quadretti full with holes well separate to the angles, that facilitate a lot the calculation. The cloth Aida is available in various quadrettature, according to the number of holes in 2,5 cms.

It is available in around 50 different colors. For the tiracampana I have chosen a cloth Jobelan with 28 threads in 2,5 cms. Since this plotted is generally embroidered on two threads, 28 threads in 2,5 cms damage the equivalent of the embroidery on a cloth Aida 55 quadrettis, although this fabric has a consistence more elegant.
For the tiracampana I have used three threads of Muliné to six threads because the cotton from embroidery to a thread was too much thin for the final effect that I sought, while three threads of Muliné create a more consistent finish, particularly proper for the job in matter. For of the most delicate embroideries on the tovagliato sometimes use only two threads of Muliné on the Jobelan, as you will see in the next projects of the book. Two threads result particularly proper in the case in which is wanted to maintain the softness of the fabric.
Rules don't exist pre-arranged on how much threads of embroidery cotton to use. l three illustrated jobs in this page and in that following introduce very various effects, gotten with cotton by embroidery to a thread or to more threads, on three different types of cloth.
On the cloth Aida 55 quadrettis, aloft the line has been performed with three cotton threads Muliné to six threads to get a compact effect, that entirely covers the fabric. Every point cross melts him with that following, making to jump the color of the thread. In the fabric Jobelan with 28 threads on 2,5 cms, aloft the line is performed with three threads of Muliné to six threads, worked on two threads of cloth. You gets so an effect similar to that of the cloth Aida 55 quadrettis, although the fabric leading is thinner and less rigid. For a more solid effect as that in demand for the tiracampana, the ideal is three threads, but for a result more delicate (for the table linen for instance) two threads make better.
The central line is performed with two cotton threads Muliné to six threads, worked on two threads of the Jobelan. The effect gotten particularly well him proper to this soft fabric. The only disadvantage is that the colors can slightly result altered, thing of which it needs to keep in mind when the tones are chosen for the project.
